These shoes were (actually) made for walking…

The weather in Germany where we live is changeable to say the least right now. As a result, I’ve had to bust out the autumnal selection of my shoe wardrobe for the transition from dainty ballet flats to more hardy showerproof footwear. I was quite excited to get my New Balance trainers back out again after their summer holiday in my closet. They were my go-to, easy to wear shoes back in the spring that saw me through an unexpectedly wet break in Barcelona as well as general day-to-day comfort earlier in the year. My heart sank slightly when they looked slightly more scruffier than I remembered. Not in a cool, worn way, rather a scuffed, milk-vomit covered manner. I still love them, but the navy suede might not last for much longer and I’ve been perusing suitable replacements already.

As I trawled the internet for their successors, an email popped into my inbox from Office alerting me to their pretty fantastic internet shoe sale that is on right now.

These babies are dark grey leather so may fare better in the rain than my suede ones. I think they look like they’ve come straight out of 1993 but I quite like that!  Down from £69.99 to £44.99, that’s a nifty 36% saving.

And I love the brown leather detail on these ones that are now £40.00 from the original £64.99.

I really love yellow, especially with dark denim so this pair is a strong contender too. £49.99 from the RRP of £64.99.

From first hand experience, I’d highly recommend a pair of these trainers for this autumn/winter. They’re great for pounding the streets with the push chair, jumping in and out of the car easily or just going for a very slow stroll with your toddler.
