Things are back to almost normal in our house today. My Parents left this morning to make the trip back home, James got up at the ungodly 5:30am to get his Insanity on, and Emmie returned to Playgroup giving me and Joe 5 hours all to ourselves. Joseph’s spent the last 2 hours of ‘our’ time sleeping whilst I’ve been contemplating putting all the new toys away, but instead I’ve been drinking coffee and catching up on the internet.
This is my view this morning (artistic license as I took 3 out of 4 of these on Saturday). It’s a veritable Winter Wonderland out there and the snow keeps falling. Not my favourite, but even my stone cold snow heart has appreciated the the beauty of it all of the last few days.
So, with the multiple themes of the brrrr cold, new year and return to dietary normality after the festive excesses in mind this week’s Meal Plan looks like this:
Monday Pioneer Woman’s Potato Soup
Tuesday Leftover Christmas veg, quinoa and feta salad
Wednesday Our traditional New Year’s Eve Cheese Fondue
Thursday Bacon, cheese and pea frittata
Saturday Spaghetti Bolognaise (mine on green beans, no pasta for me)
Sunday Roast beef, Yorkshire Puddings and veg
