Happy New Year, wishing you all a Good Hair Day

Happy 2015 everyone! I hope you had a good evening whether it was a boozy one or quiet night in.  My New Years resolution is to look after myself more, diet, exercise and beauty regimen.

If anyone knows me, they’ll know my hair is important to me.  I spend quite a lot of money on just a trim but I have been going to the same hairdresser since the age of 14 and he has gone up in the world in the last 16 years.  I’ve never coloured it but I’ve had the Rachel cut, Vicotria Beckham short bob cut, very long hair, long bob and now I’m back to the modern version of the Rachel, it suits my very thick hair and somehow it looks great at the moment.  I’ve had a lot of compliments and people asking me if I’ve been to the hairdressers, nope just washed and blow dried it, not even styled.  Now I’m waiting to clog up the shower plug with all of it during my post pregnancy molt, luckily I have enough to lose. For my 30th birthday I invested in my first pair of GHDs, only 10 years behind the times and even though I don’t bother with it I do spend money every so often on a decent hairdryer.

Having spoken to Dale my Hairdresser, the GHD hairdryer is still the thing to have.  The GHD Aura on the market for £145 I can’t say I’ve found it for £50 (which I would love) but John Lewis is selling them £20 cheaper at £125 until 16th January.

Or if that is a bit too pricey John Lewis also has the GHD Air hair dryer for £79.95, that’s £20 off until 16th January.

As it took me 10 years to get myself some GHD straighteners, I’m assuming it’ll take me another 10 years to get this hairdryer, so if anyone is thinking of a 40th birthday present for me, this is the one (hint hint Lucy).
