It’s been a massively busy time for us recently and it culminated this week with two days in Frankfurt on the last leg of my Visa Mission. It’s only taken 15 months to get this far. Luckily we stayed in Germany when we moved last year, otherwise I’d have been the only person in my family denied access to the US! Anyway, I digress. I’ve had two massively early starts this week, one of which was in a hotel, and it got me thinking of my absolute essentials when it comes to getting ready.
The Babyliss Big Hair is like Marmite. It’s loved or loathed by those that have used it. I fall into the LOVE camp. It’s the only thing that straightens my ridiculous waves that are underneath my main head of hair and at the back. They’d look amazing if they were all over but alas that’s not to be. The BaByliss Big hair gives me swishy, salon soft and shiny straight hair full of volume and body. I’ve perfected my art with it over the years and I couldn’t live without when my hair is the length it is now. Seriously worth the money in my experience.
L’Óreal Volume Million Lashes mascara. I’m mascara loyal and have only used 3 or 4 different ones since I started wearing eye make-up as a teenager. This is cheap, found everywhere and I love it. No spiders legs nor clumps. Just long, dark lashes that frame my insipid eyes.
Revlon Colorstay™ Ultimate Suede Lipstick. Put it on at 8am and if it’s one of the darker colours, I have to use my electric toothbrush to remove it when I go to bed. Lip exfoliation is the added bonus! Seriously, this stuff sticks on me and it has shea butter and aloe to make your lips silky smooth. Love it.
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream. My hands suffer big time every year in this weather. I’ve just used the last of mine up, but the Norwegian Formula is fantastic for getting rid of painful cracked and sore hands but not leaving and greasy residue.
Smashbox Photo Finish primer. This primer feels like velvet on my face. Literally. I use it under foundation and often just on its own on non-foundation days. Everything that’s applied afterwards just glides on and it feels so lovely.
Tangle Teaser. I bought this hairbrush to brush Emmie’s hair as she screams every time I weald my paddle brush in her direction. I use it on my wet hair straight out of the shower and it’s a dream to pull through my hair. It also goes through Emmie’s with no tears or tantrums which is the ultimate winner in my book.
Have a great day and tell me what some of your favourites are. I’m always on the look out to expand my collection!
